Gotham Green ft. Wax - Government Name

Posted about 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Quickie Mart
Album:
Child of an Immigrant

In recent years, an increasing number of emcees have dropped their invented monikers in favor of their Government Names. You don’t have to worry about Gotham Green going that route, though. His pseudonym has a vital purpose: to keep his true identity secret from the numerous groupies trying to track him down. Over Quickie Mart‘s funk-soul samples and Flexatone-fortified percussion, the L.A./NY dual repper spits unapologetically about his penchant for hitting it and quitting it. Booth fave and ex-Def Jam signee Wax echoes the headliner’s sentiments in his guest verse, which also sees him revealing the legal name of Guns N Roses guitarist Slash. Child of an immigrant currently lacks a drop date, but we’ll keep you posted on the project as further details emerge.
