Hilltop Hoods ft. Maverick Sabre - Won’t Let You Down

Featuring:
Producer:
Hilltop Hoods
Album:
Walking Stars

If I were to list off the promising acts who ultimately lowered their standards and ended up disappointing me, we’d be here all day. In any case, I don’t have to worry about adding Hilltop Hoods to that litany. On their latest single, the Aussie rap crew assure listeners that they “Won’t Let You Down.” OK, two-thirds of the joint is dedicated to crew member Suffa‘s fiancee, but Pressure‘s middle 16 can easily be read as a message to the fans. As on Booth debut Live & Let Go, Maverick Sabre handles the hook, showcasing his earthy vocal style over the group’s melodic in-house production. Richard Coburn directs the accompanying visuals. For this heartfelt cut and much more, cop the trio’s Walking Stars LP, out now via Golden Era Records/Fontana.
