Hippie Sabotage - Sunny

Producer:

Album:
TBD

Late last month, Hippie Sabotage stepped into The DJBooth with White Tiger, a promo single whose mellow, yet exhilarating feel pleasantly surprised those who weren’t feeling the chaotic vibe of debut solo feature Bust ‘Em Down. With freshly-released follow-up Sunny, the Sacramento brothers continue their foray into chillier, more atmospheric aural territory. Here, the duo weave a moody tapestry of synths, samples and bass-heavy percussion around an unknown female vocalist’s rendition of Bobby Hebb’s soul classic of the same name. The result is as smooth and relaxing as sipping Patron in the bath, but remains faithful to the crew’s signature, hip hop-infused sound. It has yet to be announced what project, if any, will feature Sunny, but we’ll keep you posted on Hippie Sabotage’s plans as further details emerge.
