Hodgy Beats - Years

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Hodgy Beats
Album:
Untitled 2

Previously featured as one-half of duo MellowHype (with Left Brain), Odd Future affiliate Hodgy Beats takes his first step into the solo Booth spotlight with Years, the inaugural song release off his second solo EP. On this moody selection, the artist’s own subterranean synth boardwork sets the stage for verses which find him pondering the possibilities his future holds. While Hodgy’s soul-searching leads him into dark territory (“I get so high my lungs hurt, I drink too much got liver problems…”), he delivers his confessions with that trademark OF irreverence, undercutting the serious vibe with witty one-liners and pop-culture references. Feeling it? This is just one of many original jams to be found on Untitled 2, slated to drop digitally on Saturday, June 1.
