Homeboy Sandman - Problems

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Knxwledge

Often, when rappers talk about their Problems, they’re the kind only the richest one percent of their audience will be able to relate to. Homeboy Sandman‘s new single by that title, however, kicks off with an ice-cold blast of realness: “I went to the free clinic / ‘Cause I been acting indecently / They told me I been tested to recently / And had to wait till May / That’s a month away.” Not all of the issues he describes over Knxwledge‘s understated beat are quite so serious (For example, he complains that he never knows when to shave.), but the overall picture he paints is so true-to-life that few heads will begrudge him his gripe session. For Problems and much more, cop Sandman’s Hallways LP when it drops September 2, viaStones Throw.
