Hopsin - I Need Help

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Hopsin
Album:

I don’t know if it’s his creepy contacts, his penchant for igniting beef with the biggest artists in the industry or the fact that he seems to have a psychotic break in every damn video, but I can easily imagine Hopsin in a padded room. Though the title of the Funk Volume founder’s new single suggests he agrees with my assessment, the record is more an act of defiance than a genuine cry for help. Featured along with some suitably maniacal visuals co-directed by Hop and George Orozco, I Need Help finds the emcee venting his fury at the music industry over his own menacing production. Lest you think he’s all talk, the artist lets listeners know that he’s gonna be moving on from the rap game in the very near future: “I’ma give you guys one more album, but after that it’s peace out.” For more rapid-fire flows and hard-hitting instrumentals, cop Hopsin’s Knock Madness LP, available in stores and online as of November.
