Hopsin - Ill Mind Six: Old Friend

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Hopsin
Album:
None (Promo Single)

Over the last several years, Hopsin has been offering fans regular glimpses into his headspace via an ongoing series of video singles entitled Ill Mind of Hopsin. Recently, the Funk Volume rapper/producer’s been lost in bittersweet memories of an Old Friend who passed away due to a drug overdose. On installment number six in the aforementioned series, the artist revisits the painful experience of watching his homie self-destruct in slow motion, flowing over his own mournful string loops. Director George Orozco provides a visual accompaniment to the artist’s bracing narrative bars. Out now on iTunes, this joint isn’t attached to any larger project, but fans should keep their browsers locked for new song releases leading up to Hopsin’s Knock Madness LP, which is scheduled for release this November.
