House of Whales EP

There must have been some serious flooding in the Chicago area, because local hip-hop trio Treehouse has transformed into a House of Whales. Despite the change of scenery, the group’s latest single, Mark My Words, offers the same sophisticated, lyrically-driven underground hip-hop that fans have come to know and love. In conjunction with bassist Mike Ruby and drummer Aunnoy Badruzzaman, producer Noam Wallenberg creates an atmospheric, string-drenched backdrop for the thoughtful bars of frontman Rico Sisney. Fans will be able to find Mark My Words and much more on the crew’s self-titled full-length, scheduled for independent release August 25.
