Ill Poetic - Drawing Board Rhyme Scheme

Posted 7 years ago
Producer:
Ill Poetic
Album:
Daze Of Our Life

The 61st entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Ill Poetic, an underground emcee/producer whose boardwork backed recent features by Pugs Atomz (Winners) and Illogic (Let’s Go).  On the Poetic’s brand new, previously-unreleased Drawing Board Rhyme Scheme freestyle (his Booth debut as an artist), the Ohio up-and-comer flows over a self-produced beat originally featured on his NIN meets Outkast: Nine Inch Naliens mixtape.  Ill Poetic is currently working on his sophomore LP, Daze of Our Lives (set to drop in spring 2010) , as well as putting the finishing touches on the official prelude mixtape, which will feature collaborations with Aesop Rock, Slug, Naledge, Dwele, T3, and the Kickdrums. In addition, his beats will appear on forthcoming releases by Zone/Mick Boogie, Wordsworth, Blitz the Ambassador and Pugs Atomz.

Watch for our In The Booth (Vol. 2) Mixtape, featuring freestyles 31 through 60, to hit our front page next month!
