Input ft. Nikkiya - Spirits Fly

Posted 3 years ago

Though Input is a native of Denver, Colorado, he attended high school in neighboring Columbine, at the institution of the same name. On April 20, 1999, he lived through the deadliest mass killing ever to occur at an American high school campus. Nearly 14 years after that fateful day, on new EP single Spirits Fly, he finally breaks his silence on the events of that fateful day. Over the piano-led production of project collaborator Will Power, the artist paints a lyrical self-portrait of himself as a teenage outcast, before launching into a harrowing, eyewitness account of the shooting. Atlanta singer and DJBooth favorite Nikkiya lends her vocals to the record’s chorus. This gut-wrenching single can be found on Input and Will Power’s Bombs Over Everything EP, released today as the first installment in SupaHotBeats’ monthly ArtWerk EP series.
