IsaiahThe3rd ft. Soupa - Thief’s Theme Part II

Album:
Who Had The Last Laugh?

To say

write that IsaiahThe3rd made a bold choice by creating a sequel to a song that was first released by renowned Queensbridge icon Nas is a hefty understatement, but the emcee has done just that with the fittingly titled Thief’s Theme Part II. Thankfully, the lyricist manages to create a worthy sequel to the original version, which also retains his individuality. On top of taking its inspiration from Nas’ Thief’s Theme, Isaiah’s stand out selection also boasts all original production from frequent production collaborator SIX. There is also the part where he name drops DJBooth and that’s worth, at least, three cool points and a virtual e-dap. Thief’s Theme Part II is featured on the rapper’s Who Had The Last Laugh? project, which was released for free download on August 30.
