J. Capri ft. Jon Connor - In My Lifetime II

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Commissioner Gordon
Album:
Bornstars

In fear of repeating myself, I won’t enter this article (re)enlightening listeners that the Carolinas are doing pretty well for themselves in the current rap game. I just won’t do it. On a completely different topic, NC-bred J. Capri is back on his grind with fellow statesman Commissioner Gordon for In My Lifetime II.  Hip-hop heads will recognize the tribute paid to the iconic Hova track that jumped off his star-studded career. The pressure to perform under such a heavy title doesn’t fade Capri in the least, ripping the track apart bar by bar with a great feature coming from the equally talented Michigander Jon Connor. If you liked this creative homage to a classic, be sure to keep a lookout for his forthcoming album, Bornstars (get it?) touching down in stores September 27. As always, keep it locked to the Booth for more.
