J. Cole - I’m A Fool

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
J. Cole
Album:
TBD

Whether its spending a ridiculous amount of money on his jewels or goofing off in school, North Carolina rhyme slinger J. Cole isn’t afraid to let it be known that he can act just as much a fool as anyone else, which is exactly what he does on his fittingly titled new record, I’m A Fool. Driven by a sample from Roc Nation songstress Melanie Fiona and Cee Lo Green‘s Fool For You, Cole keeps it real as he gradually steps off of the pedestal that his fans have placed him on. Midway through the record the Dreamvillain artist urges, “I responded to her, please don’t put me on a pedestal/ Cause I know better and I’m still a fool.” Cole keeps the production on the record heavily on the soulful side, but adds a nice helping of bass that blends perfectly with his unparalleled flow. Although the record serves as the DJBooth favorites new single there’s still no word yet on what the title of his sophomore album will be or when it will be released.
