J NICS - Block Boy

Posted about 4 years ago
Producer:
Street Runner
Album:
None (Promo Single)

After treating The DJBooth listeners with his acclaimed promo freestyle Smoke In The Wind just a few weeks back, up-and-coming emcee, J NICS returns with his latest release, Block Boy. For the production on Block Boy, Grammy Award winning producer StreetRunner provides a a percussion heavy, synth based beat for his South Florida neighbor to spit his rhymes over. On the mic, the unsigned emcee reflects on his past experiences and struggles, showing off his lyricism with lines like, “Writing rhymes in the back of the class, teachers telling me to leave/ Though I’m intelligent, I can’t achieve”. Block Boy is not attached to any particular projects as of yet, but fans can cop his last project, The Product, for free stream and download right now.
