Round 2

Since releasing his debut album, Back of My Lac (which included megahit Bed as well as its nearly-as-successful follow-up, Suffocate) and lending his hook to Fat Joe‘s I Won’t Tell, J. Holiday has been pretty quiet.  In the interim, he has been working on his sophomore album, Round 2, hoping to replicate his past victories and achieve continued success.  On his first single, It’s Yours, he may have done just that; with the same falsetto-tinged voice, target audience-appeal, and a Big Reese & Jasper beat reminiscent of vintage Los Da Mystro, the cut has the makings of a bona fide crossover hit.  The only question left to ask is, have listeners’ tastes passed Holiday by?
