P.ain I.s L.ove 2

June 7, the day before the artist begins his two-year prison bid on drug and gun charges, Ja Rule will be releasing his seventh studio album, intended to be a comeback after a five-year gap between projects. On new single Real Life Fantasy, the rap vet does a little soul-searching, struggling to accept that what’s he’s experiencing is true and not a figment of his imagination. 7 Aurelius handles production duties, flipping a sample from Queen’s rock classic, Bohemian Rhapsody. Will P.ain I.s L.ove 2, Ja Rule’s first album since 2004’s R.U.L.E., be fresh enough to keep fans craving new music while the artist is serving his sentence? Only time will tell, but readers are welcome to speculate…
