Kiss My Ass

Jadakiss knows that he is needed.  In fact, on his new street single, Who Run This, the veteran rapper announces that he is willing to carry all of New York on his back.  Missing in action as a solo artist since the ‘04 release of his sophomore album, Kiss of Death, the Brooklyn native is currently in the process of creating his brand new album, the appropriately-titled Kiss My Ass.  The hope here, which is shared by Jada’s new label home at Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam, is that the emcee’s street-wise lyricism and large following will equal big numbers come this winter.  Label mate and R.O.C. creator Jay-Z joins Kiss on the record, but his appearance is limited to a few ad libs here and there.  So, is this founding member of the LOX ready to help New York return to hip-hop supremacy?  We’ll check come the start of next year.
