JaeWon ft. Peter Krafft - So Much Better

Hometown Hero

So Much Better”... those words could easily apply to The DJBooth vis-à-vis your typical music site, or JaeWon as compared to his peers in the game. In reality, however, the focus of the Norrtyalje, Sweden representative’s latest mixtape leak (making its world premiere on our front page) is not on the question, but rather the artist’s continual quest for self-improvement. Frequent Wiz Khalifa/Mac Miller collaborators E.Dan and Big Jerm of ID Labs handle production duties, forgoing the blunted style of their past work to craft a glittering electro-pop backdrop for the artist’s self-assured, retro-informed motivational bars: “Shootin’ for space, won’t settle for the floss / Fly far, five-star rebel with a cause / Hoover boarding through the madness, just an ‘80s baby bumpin’ classics.” Reprising his role as hookman from Booth debut Lionheart, Peter Krafft lends his studio-tweaked vocals to the record’s chorus. An anthemic jam sure to leave fans of forward-looking hip-pop craving more, Better is just one of many bangers set for inclusion on Jae’s Hometown Hero LP, tentatively set for release before the end of May.
