James Fauntleroy - Year Round

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Brian Kennedy
Album:
None (Promo Single)

They say love comes and goes, but James Fauntleroy wants to prove “them” wrong. On this freshly-minted promotional single, his fourth in the last eight days, he tells his girl to clear her schedule, ‘cause he wants her Year Round. The record packs production every bit as simple and sweet as its message; Brian Kennedy backs the Cocaine 80s frontman’s earnest verses with tuneful acoustic-guitar fingerpicking. Despite the lack of bells and whistles, Fauntleroy’s trademark overdubs and vocal effects are retained, adding to the cut’s unique ambiance. This joint isn’t attached to a larger set but, considering the pace at which the singer’s been releasing new music lately, it shouldn’t be long till you see him on our pages again. At any rate, fans should keep it locked.
