Janet Jackson - Make Me

Posted 7 years ago
Producer:
Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis
Album:
Untitled (TBD)

It would be a understatement to say that Janet Jackson‘s been dealing with a lot of grief lately—from her breakup with longtime beau Jermaine Dupri to her big brother‘s tragic death, she’s been grappling with circumstances that would send the average person spiraling toward a nervous breakdown.  Rather than letting the pressure get to her, though, Janet’s kept a cool head and continued to pour her energy into her 11th studio album, set for release at the top of 2010. Following Janet’s tribute performance at the VMAs, fans expected her to incorporate some of her big bro’s classics into the project, and on the first official leak she does just that. With the help of Scream production team Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, the singer creates an all-around treat for the ears, revisiting the numerous personae she’s adopted throughout her career.  Though the upcoming album lacks a solid release date, a title and distribution, this blast from the past is reason enough for celebration.  Welcome back, Janet!
