Since BOOGNIGHTSCheers! pulled in the most stars of yesterday’s features, we thought we’d treat you to another New Year’s-themed cut that doubles as an all-purpose party soundtrack. Best enjoyed with a glass of top-shelf bubbly, the latest mixtape leak from Rock N Roll emcee JD Era finds the T-dot up-and-comer painting a vivid lyrical picture of long, carefree and very inebriated Champagne Nights. Drumcrazie mans the boards, serving up a lightly jazzy sampled groove as JD – sorry, José Rozay – encourages all in attendance to let loose and have a good time (particularly the ladies), as well as emphasizing just how much paper he’s planning to stack in the year ahead. Topped off with a silky-smooth chorus by rising soul singer (and fellow Toronto native) Lokz, this intoxicating track can be found on JD Era’s forthcoming TH1RT3EN mixtape, set to hit the net by the end of the month.
