USDA Vol. 1 Mixtape

The question of 2011 is, “When is Young Jeezy‘s Thug Motivation 103 coming out?” And the answer you have all been waiting for is “we have no idea!” Without a certified hit single I doubt Def Jam will be dropping TM103 anytime soon. In the meantime, it seems like Young Jeezy has gone back to what got him signed in the first place, delivering trap music for the streets to ride to. With the release of The Lick, featuring USDA, Jeezy starts off the year with another record that might just make you question his future as one of hip hop’s premier artists. Everything about The Lick screams mediocrity. As a fan I have to say that I am a little disappointed in the execution of the verses from Jeezy, 211, Boo Rossini and Slick Pulla. The beat, produced by the Drumma Boy, comes in hard, but is on the repetitive side. Hopefully, Jeezy and the USDA crew will release their mixtape USDA Vol. 1 soon to appease the long waiting fans until TM103 comes out, whenever that proves to be.
