Jeff Chery ft. Co$$ & Young Dirty Bastard - Over & Done

Posted about 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Pajazo
Album:
A Starry Night

Mmmm…the children of yesterday are starting to show their teeth. DJBooth Freestyle alum Jeff Chery changes tempo and temperament with Over and Done, featuring Co$$ (aka Cashius King) and Young Dirty Bastard (yes, that Young Dirty Bastard). Already cutty, Chery takes it up a notch and challenges his team to go with him by expressing lyrics of fed-up circumstances and revelations of a new life under armor. The underrated King brings that street life to vision, matching speed to wit with Chery as YDB stays true to his father’s mission, keeping it EXTREMELY thorough with his non-traditional rhyme scheme, unguarded and unconcerned with the repercussions, just like Ol’ Dirty. On the beat Pajazo matches the the rhymes well with hypnotic triumph trance balanced with the proper bass to keep it just as hungry as the rappers spitting over it. From the sounds of this, Chery’s upcoming album, A Starry Night, has the true potential to shake some minds. No release date yet, but keep up with the Booth - we live for sh*t like this.
