Jeff Chery - The Music

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
Funky Beats
Album:
None (Promo Single)

With the world premiere of his new single The Music, Atlanta emcee Jeff Chery finally makes his triumphant return to The DJBooth. Although it’s been quite sometime since Chery’s last feature Shots Fired!, and talk of his unreleased A Starry Night project, it seems as if the self-proclaimed “musical Einstein” hasn’t missed a beat. On return effort The Music, Chery matches his lyrical bravado with Funky Beats’ bouncy production and an equally upbeat hook. Lyrically, the Freestyle Series alum pays homage to some of Hip-Hop’s greats including Jam Master Jay, Notorious B.I.G., Big Pun and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, expressing gratitude for the music that changed his life. Although The Music isn’t attached to any forthcoming project, the song serves as a mere sample of things to come from Chery.
