Jesse Abraham - Yoga

Bars & No Bull Mixtape

If we learn one thing about Jesse Abraham today (aside from his creativity), it’s that he’s funny as hell. Actually, we may have learned that on his last offering, the equally-original and Booth-acclaimed Spiderman on Vitamins. Fine, consider worldwide premiere Yoga, the lead single off his upcoming project, an alarm clock for those who were asleep the first time around. The jittering, left-of-center production from Spills gives Abraham everything he needs to successfully accomplish an ode to “fitness” that delivers line after line of great content: “I take out my mic, she check 1, 2” and “I’m lucky enough to be a witness / Acting like a Jewish kid on Christmas, what is this?” are just a few of the greats on here. The only sad part is the brevity, but that it’s easily balanced by how repeat-worthy the record really is. If you liked how Abraham stretched and spread his talent on this one, be sure look out for his Bars and No Bull Mixtape, dropping via your boys at DJBooth on October 12.
