John Anthony - Swat City

Producer:
Russ
Album:
None (Promo Single)

Last we saw John Anthony, the DIEMON representer was in a dark mood, pondering what would happen were he to dietodae. Well, I’m happy to say that, as of today, the Southern spitter is still alive and kicking—a fact that he celebrates by wildin’ out on newly-released promotional single Swat City. With labelmate Russ’ lush, jazzy sample work bumping in the back, the Atlanta native takes a breather from the hustle to enjoy a few of life’s finer things, including fly women, top-shelf liquors, Cuban cigars and the peerless hip-hop reportage supplied by The DJBooth. That’s right; Anthony kicks off a list of his supporters in the blogosphere with a shout-out to your favorite online music publication. Though this joint isn’t attached to a larger project, those who haven’t already copped the project can hear more on the artist’s recently-released Jxhn LP. As for Anthony’s future plans, you’ll just have to follow his example and keep your eyes glued to our pages for the latest.
