John Brown has been relentlessly grinding to let the world know that the hood is just as beautiful as the suburbs that he grew up in.  The King of the ‘Burbs, who earned his moniker from the Caucasian revolutionary, made a name for himself on Ego Trip’s White Rapper Show on VH1.  On Where I’m From, the Cali native gives us a clear-cut look at where he’s been and where he’s going. Without relying on the catch phrases he was famous for on the show, Brown utilizes producer Keith Clizark’s bouncy West Coast strings, synthesizers and keys to insightfully show us exactly what goes down on his side of the town. Brown’s album, Burb Life, is set for a September release date. Hallelujah holla back.
