UPDATE: “Don’t Tempt Me” is no longer available for stream.

If you are careless enough to leave a piece of pizza (or two) in front of me, I’ll tell you right now, I will eat it right in your face and I won’t feel bad about it; Don’t Tempt Me. Similarly, it is not a good idea to tempt Johnny Spanish with a helpless beat, as he’ll devour it just as quickly as I would a slice of pie. In this case, Spanish is tempted by an apocalyptic production by Oliver Stoned, featuring a fluttering piano riff juxtaposed with staccato brass and vocal samples. Atop the beat, Spanish grabs the listener and doesn’t let go, delivering his virulent, hostile bars in a crisp, hungry flow. Those who are feeling Don’t Tempt Me are highly encouraged to cop Spanish’s latest album, Home, when it hits The DJBooth in early July, for free stream and download.
