Jovi Rockwell - Your Youth

Though Jovi Rockwell hasn’t scored a solo Booth feature since back in 2010 (I guess she was serious when she said she was going to Dilly Dally) , the Kingston-born singer recently was catapulted back into the Booth consciousness via her guest spot on Snoop Dogg

Lion‘s La La La. Today, Rockwell returns to her solo hustle with Your Youth, the lead single selection off DDot Omen‘s forthcoming, SantiGold-inspired compilation album. Here, the DMV producer gets heads a-nodding with a clipped, tuneful Island-pop-meets-indie rhythm as Jovi urges listeners to take full advantage of the springtime of life, no mattter what others may say. The result is so warm, upbeat and catchy that it almost fooled me into thinking it was still summer. (Alas.) Fans can stay tuned for more eclectic song releases leading up to Omen’s as yet-unscheduled foolSGold LP, as well as all the latest from Ms. Rockwell.
