Juelz Santana ft. Wale - Awesome

Readers with an Eastern state of mind may have celebrated the Chinese New Year past this weekend. However, for those who are unaware that 2013 is the Year of the Snake, I motion that it be reclassified as the Year of the Comeback.  Following Juvenile’s January appearance in the DJBooth and Chamillionare just yesterday, we now feature another emcee eyeing a comeback; Juelz Santana. The Diplomats emcee returns to our pages for the third time this year, with Awesome, a Wale-assisted video single. Santana, despite not having dropped much material since ‘05’s What the Game’s Been Missing!, picks up right where he left off, grinding out a flow that overlaps nicely with guitar centered Jokey production. His MMG cohort adds his a few cents, complimenting Santana’s cutting vocals with his raspy flow, and showing listeners that the New York native fits right in with the game’s new generation of emcees. Released in late January, God Willin’ is available for stream and free download right here at The DJBooth.
