Julian Stephen - Tootsie Roll

Posted 4 years ago

For those of you on the edge of your seat in anticipation, yes, Julian Stephen‘s Tootsie Roll does in fact include a mention of the 69 Boyz’ mildly iconic dance record Tootsee Roll. With that fun fact now out of the way we can now move on to the topic at hand; visuals for Stephen’s latest record. In the music video, which was shot by both Jiggy Flix and Kino Gailbrath, Stephen and a friend play the role of heavily fixated neighbors with an inquisitive eye for the seductive woman next door. Like the song it visualizes, Tootsie Roll takes on a lighthearted tone as the Queens rapper drops his clever rhymes with help from Trox’ flute-laced production. Found yourself with a bit of sweet tooth? Tootsie Roll will be featured on Stephen’s upcoming #AwkwardMoments project, which is set for free download on September 12.
