Jus Nice ft. Young Scolla - Free

The Cool Table

They say that variety is the spice of life, and the same holds true for hip-hop, but I’ll still never get tired of hearing a dope flip of a soul sample and some tight rhymes, and that’s just what rising emcee Jus Nice delivers on his new release, the aptly titled Free. Production crew SMKA takes care of the first half of that equation, layering an angelic vocal sample over a softly winding melody and intricately precise percussion. Nice, of course, takes care of the lyrical half, delivering a fresh (excuse me, fresssh) take on an evergreen topic in rap; the drive to succeed despite the obstacles, and clingy girlfriends, in your path. If he keeps releasing music like this we may have to start insisting that the man starts calling himself A Whole Lot More Than Jus Nice. Following the release of his DJBooth hosted project Fresssh, Jus is now gearing up to drop his brand new project, The Cool Table, sometime in October. Until then, feel Free to make this your “damn, I wish it was still summer” anthem.
