Album:
None (Promo Single)

It’s not often that an emcee is bold enough to address the questionable behavior that is sometimes present in the music industry, but NYC underground vet K. Sparks does just that on his latest cleverly titled record. On White Black Face, Sparks and fellow DJBooth regular 810 touch on everything from gentrification to Columbia Records artist Kreayshawn. While White Black Face falls just short of the three-minute mark the record still manages to pack a mean punch with its social commentary and brutal honesty. Despite the song’s heavy content, production-wise White Black Face comes across lightly and melodious thanks to DJ Bobby Bob’s work behind the boards. Although the song is not attached to any forthcoming project, the emcee’s new September Lounge EP is available for download via iTunes.
