Manic Mondays (#11)

It’s no secret that Booth fans love K. Sparks and his Manic Mondays series; for the last five weeks, the previous week’s feature has been awarded either the #1 or #2 slot on our Underground chart.  For the eleventh edition of the series, we proudly present what many will consider Sparks’ strongest effort yet, Young Malcolm.  On the record, the emcee of the day takes no prisoners, while expressing his feelings on the current state of hip-hop.  Making sure to shout out West Coast favorite, Crooked I, who inspired him to do the online series, Sparks reaffirms his Hip-Hop Presidential stance.  Producer T-Mos also delivers with a raw, low brass beat with samples from Malcolm X’s potent and witty 1965 speech in Selma, Alabama.  With such an off-the-chain combination of lyrical flair and production wizardry, it will sure be hard to top Young Malcolm next Manic Monday… or will it?
