KAZE ft. Dasan Ahanu - UNDERGROUND RAILROAD

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
E. Jones
Album:

During the 19th Century, when America was split between free and slaveholding states, abolitionists used a secret network of safe houses called The Underground Railroad to funnel runaway slaves to safety. In the freshly-released, Loot-Tenant Trax-directed visuals for his latest mixtape single, North Carolina spitter KAZE transplants himself into this ugly period in U.S. history, playing a fugitive who finds salvation thanks to a passing preacher. As the record’s lyrics, delivered over E. Jones’ bluesy sample work, make clear, however, this isn’t just about the past; it’s also an an indictment of the modern-day music game. Featuring guest appearances from the likes of Jozeemo, Amanda Barrino and Wreck-N-Crew, KAZE’s DJBooth-hosted Black Kennedy street album is available now for free streaming and digital download.
