Kendall Elijah - Sittin’

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
The Pyrex Kid
Album:
None (Promo Single)

I can respect any young artist who goes out on a limb musically. Case in point, Hayettsville, MD crooner Kendall Elijah, who heard Otis Redding’s classic, (Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay, and evidently saw a remake of the song as an opportunity, rather than a risk. On Sittin Kendall lyrically spends a fair amount of time sitting and plotting his next move, while the underlying meaning of this song explores life’s deeper ranges of emotions. Production can be credited to The Pyrex Kid, who should not be confused with the top of the line kitchenware, despite the fact he manufactures the base for Elijah’s entrée. At the moment, this offering is not tied to any particular project, but with such a versatile sound and soulfully modernized fare, I foresee Mr. Elijah becoming a regular in the DJBooth.
