Kendrick Lamar ft. Jay Rock - My People

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Ervin "EP" Pope
Album:
Bastards of the Party Official Soundtrack

A keen observer of socioeconomic ills (as we saw on his acclaimed #Section80 street album), Kendrick Lamar zeroes in on the issue of black on black violence on My People, his contribution to documentary film Bastards of the Party (premiering in its untagged version on DJBooth.net). Over the mournful piano boardwork of Ervin “EP” Pope, Lamar is joined by fellow West Coast repper Jay Rock. For more, check out the Bastards of the Party soundtrack LP when it drops August 30, via The Furnace Ent/RBC Records.
