Kevin Cossom - Lay Up

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
The Lottery
Album:
Hook Vs. Bridge II

The fact that I instantly through about basketball instead of lovemaking when I heard the title of Kevin Cossom’s new single Lay Up is the best sign yet that I need to spend less time thinking about the looming NBA playoffs (go Celtics!) and more time on my lady. Thanks for the reminder Kevin. Making its worldwide premiere on The DJBooth, Lay Up gets its atmospheric vibe from producer The Lottery’s swirling synths and snapping percussion, creating an instrumental custom made for losing track of time in between the sheets. Taking the cut’s go-half-on-a-baby vibe to the next level are Cossom’s seductive vocals, which smoothly ride the track like a….well, I’ll just let you use your imagination, but I think we both know where I was going with that. While we unfortunately still have some waiting to do before Cossom’s debut RCA album hit shelves, fans only have to wait until tomorrow (April 18) for his brand new Hook Vs. Bridge II project, which is sure to provide even more reasons to turn off that b-ball game and focus on turning on that special someone.
