King Mez - I’m Dreamin [Freestyle]

Producer:
The Neptunes
Album:
Unreleased

Never say the DJBooth staff doesn’t listen to the people. Only a couple months ago North Carolina representer King Mez made his debut on the Booth with his track Winter, and after y’all reacted like we released a Megan Fox sex tape we had to bring him back (So Long), back (919) and back yet again for his new track I’m Dreamin (Freestyle). Here the always vocally astute rhyme spitter takes the piano-laden Neptunes beat from Lupe’s I’m Beamin’ and makes the track completely his own with lines like: “Do me a favor, go grab me a laser / a grey moon raker for aimin’ at all the haters.” Hold on Mez, I’ll be right back with that laser. So how about it Booth? Did Mez deliver yet again, or has the king finally fallen from his throne? We’ll find out soon. For more from El Rey de Mez be sure to check out his new album with Commissioner Gordon, The Paraplegics, coming soon (via DJBooth & KevinNottingham.com).
