Been listening to that fake sh*t so long that you’ve forgotten what The Real sounds like? Allow Kobi Onyame to jog your memory. On the latest song release off his forthcoming EP, Part 2 of a cut which has not, to my knowledge, been released, the Ghanaian-born, Glasgow-based emcee gives us a crash course in keeping it one-hundred, illustrating the point with a few helpful examples: “It’s Nas on Illmatic, Jay on Reasonable Doubt / Rappers kick knowledge like ‘Ye on The College Dropout.” The record comes backed by the adrenaline-pumping surf guitar samples and skillful cuts of DJ Dummy, who met Onyame while while touring Europe with J. Cole. Fans will be able to find this certifiably real selection and much more on Kobi’s Greener Pastures EP, scheduled for release this May.

Update: Click “Watch Video” above or scroll down (for mobile) to view Kobi’s Oliver Whitehouse-directed The Real (Pt. 2) visual.
