Lecrae - I’m Turnt

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
K.E. on the Track
Album:
Church Clothes 2

Whether at the club or at a house party, rappers love to get twisted, and Lecrae is no exception. Where he differs from his peers is his drug of choice. Freshly-minted mixtape single I’m Turnt finds the Christian hip-hop heavyweight under the influence of a substance more potent than Molly, Mary Jane, or any other female-named narcotic: “Prolly think I’m rolling, I’m just high on the spirit bro. / The only thing we popping is the truth, you don’t hear it though.” Though his verses extol the virtues of chastity and sobriety, the record is a solid addition to any party playlist, thanks to K.E. on the Track‘s thumping synth beat as well as the artist’s energy on the mic. A tongue-in-cheek video by director Steven C. Pitts round out the package. For I’m Turnt and much more, check out Lecrae’s Church Clothes 2 street album, available now online.
