Lecrae - Nuthin’

Posted one year ago
Producer:
Gavwi
Album:
Anomaly

I can’t even a hazard a guess as to how many total verses rappers worldwide record on a daily basis, but the number is, without a doubt, astronomically high. And, though there are plenty of diamonds in the rough, most of them aren’t talking about Nuthin’ but the same three or four tired topics. On his latest single, gospel-rap heavyweight Lecrae urges his peers to think a little harder about what they’re putting down on wax, and perhaps try to tackle some more substantial subject matter. Over !llmind‘s production, a grimy sampling of The Luniz’ I Got 5 on It, he explains, “I know you gonna label me a hater, but inside you are greater than the songs you’re creating.” Agree with the Houston repper’s sentiments? Then you can expect plenty more lyrics insights on his next full-length, Anomaly, scheduled to hit record stores and online retailers in August.
