Lil Boosie ft. Young Jeezy & Webbie - Better Believe It

Posted 7 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Mouse
Album:
Superbad

Trill Entertainment has carved out a niche with club bangers by artists like Webbie, Lil’ Boosie, and 3Deep (Gimme Dat, Zoom, Watch My Shoes, Wipe Me Down, Independent). The truth behind the hard-partying hits, though, is that it took years of underground grinding (plus a bit of intervention from the man upstairs) for these emcees to make their way from the mean streets of Baton Rouge to the bright lights of mainstream hip-hop.  Building off a theme previously brought up in Webbie, Birdman, and Rick RossA Miracle, Boosie BadAzz documents the Trill Fam’s growth from from trap rookies to industry heavyweights.  Do they plan to stay on top?  You Better Believe It!  Webbie continues the story, incorporating a shout-out to the late Pimp C, but the highlight is Young Jeezy‘s Snowman-to-“plat-man” tale.  The collaborators’ rhymes are accented by an uncredited baritone singer’s inspiring hook and Mouse‘s more-epic-than-usual beat.  Expect more growth (both in lyrics and subject matter) from Lil’ Boosie when his sophomore album, Superbad, hits the streets, the store shelves, and the Internet this summer.
