In the late ‘90s Jay-Z built up a reputation for sampling Broadway musicals (Hard Knock Life from Annie, Anything from Oliver).  Almost ten years later another Mr. Carter is following suit as Lil’ Wayne releases the new cut, One Night Only, with a sample of the Dreamgirls’ most popular song of the same name.  Weezy brings a newer meaning to the story by describing a one-night stand with a female fan, which of course turns into a regular occasion.  Cipha Sounds of Hot 97 and MTV-fame provides a Just Blaze-like beat which should have One Night Only become a favorite amongst old and new fans alike.  Weezy’s Carter III: The Leak is scheduled for a December 18 release with the official C3 album set for February 12th.
