Lloyd Banks ft. Nipsey Hussle - Me & My Strap

Featuring:

Taurus
Album:
Vol 4: Happy Birthday: 4-30-09 / Bullet's Ain't Got No Name

Just as the high-profile squabble between 50 Cent and Rick Ross started to die down, rumors began to surface that G-Unit‘s other two members, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, had been dropped from Interscope.  Whether or not these allegations are true, Banks is making sure his name stays out in the open with a new mixtape,  Vol. 4: Happy Birthday, which dropped on April 30th (his 27th birthday).  Apparently not shunned despite his close association with The Game, Nipsey Hussle joins Banks for an ode to Me & My Strap, the only two things a street thoroughbred can truly trust.  Both emcees’ stepped-up, deadpan lyrical game accompanied by Taurus’ smooth “vintage G-Unit” beat add up to a cut that may well be hailed as the best Lloyd Banks has done since the “DJBooth Era” began in late ‘05.  Even if you’re not a big Banks fan, you’d be well served to pick up a copy of Nipsey’s upcoming Bullets Ain’t Got No Name (Vol. 3) mixtape, which has officially been pushed back to a mid-summer release.
