Lloyd - Get a Room

The Smeezingtons
Untitled (TBD)

Lloyd, the golden boy of r&b, is quickly becoming a golden man, maturing artistically on his recent The Young Goldie EP while also keeping the cash registers busy on his Young Money super-smash collaboration Bedrock. But even though work keeps him undoubtedly busy, Lloyd still makes sure to find time to Get a Room with a lovely lady (big sacrifice, I know). While a pop-ish, bouncing club ready beat from The Smeezingtons (whose name always makes me laugh) echoes in the background, Lloyd lyrically returns to the “shawty”-centric lines of his younger years, crafting Get a Room into a light but entertaining ode to the joys of hotel sex. Get a Room is off Lloyd’s currently untitled, unscheduled new album, but rumor has it he’s close to signing a deal, so the picture should get a lot clearer soon. I’m sure our very own DJ Z will ask him all about it when the pair sit down in two weeks for an exclusive interview.
