Locksmith ft. Jarell Perry - You Never Know

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Matt Cody and Mike TopNoch
Album:

As he watched criminals being led to their execution during his imprisonment in the Tower of London, English Reformer John Bradford famously stated, “There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford.” In a similar spirit, on his latest mixtape single Locksmith advises us against judging others too harshly—after all, You Never Know when a twist of fate might place you in their position. Matt Cody and Mike TopNoch  man the mixing boards on this cut, crafting a moody, piano-driven beat to back the Richmond, Cali emcee as he contemplates life’s uncertainties. Broken collaborator Jarell Perry lends his vocals to the chorus, and The Young Gunz of BLK BLOC provide a visceral illustration of the record’s themes in their official visuals. Featuring this thought-provoking jam and much more, Locksmith’s The Green Box LP is available now for streaming and download in The DJBooth.
