Luis Guzman may be new to Booth readers, but it won’t be much longer till everyone‘s paying attention to the New Jersey up-and-comer – after all, it’s pretty hard to ignore someone who’s giving you a Colonic. The kinda gross imagery suggested by the title of Luguz’ forthcoming street album should in no way discourage listeners from checking out his newly-released single Don’t Ever Go, a soulful jam which finds the artist paying tribute to his better half. Over production group The Connectz’ sampled piano-brass instrumental, the rapper tells the female in question just how important she is to him: “The love of a woman is the strength of a man/ Keeps me on my toes, defines who I am.” R&B singer T. Ru sums it all up in his emotion-drenched chorus: “I need you more than life itself.” So, do Luguz’ romantic entreaties have you weak in the knees? Well, get ready to bend over and… um… listen to some dope music later this month, when the emcee’s new mixtape hits the ‘net.
