Lupe Fiasco ft. Ty Dolla $ign - Next To It

Ty Dolla $ign, Shafiq Husayn
Tetsuo & Youth

Back in February, eyebrows were raised across the hip-hop blogosphere when Lupe Fiasco hooked up with Ty Dolla $ign to drop the surprisingly smooth, straightforward $nitches. Turns out the collaboration wasn’t just a one-off. Next To It, the follow-up to Tetsuo & Youth lead single Old School Love, sees Lupe rejoining forces with the West Coast hip-popster to create a high-rolling jam ideal for rotation in the whip. In addition to crafting the dissonant, bass-heavy beat in conjunction with Sa-Ra‘s Shafiq Husayn, Ty steps out from behind the boards to deliver a suave chorus. Fiasco’s sixth full-length currently lacks a drop date, but we’ll keep you supplied with anything and every Lupe leading up to its eventual arrival.

UPDATE: We’ve added the Alex Nazari-directed visuals for Next To It.
