Lux DeVille ft. DJ Mentplus - Head First

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
PVD
Album:
None (Promo Single)

After the better part of a year away from the Booth (One Two hit our front page back in September of 2013), emcee 8thW1 and beatsmith Patrick van Dyke are back to releasing new music as Lux DeVille. And they’re not just dipping a toe into the water; they’re diving in Head First. The first of two projected promo singles set to appear on the duo’s sophomore collaborative album, this joint finds 8th delivering intricate, polysyllabically-rhymed bars over his partner’s live percussion and Fender Rhodes. DJ MentPlus mans the wheels of steel, peppering the track with a cornucopia of contextually appropriate samples. Fans should keep it locked for the second of the aforementioned promo singles, as well as further details on Lux’s currently-untitled/unscheduled LP.
